DAB For Swindon! To end 2022

Ofcom has completed its third round of small-scale DAB licensing and awarded a new multiplex licence to the town’s award-winning radio Station, SWINDON 105.5.

This will add DAB to its existing service heard on FM, mobiles, web streaming and smart speakers. Each multiplex service also enables a variety of new radio services to take to the airwaves, from hyper-local services to specialist music outlets.

Station Manager Shirley Ludford says “We are delighted at this award, enabling SWINDON 105.5 to broadcast on the full range of platforms expected today. I was also very pleased that Ofcom agreed to add Marlborough to our application, where reception has long been an issue for the town.
