PSA Tests Prove Positive

Highworth and District Lions and Highworth Town Council are supporting prosate tests.

12,000 men across the country were tested last year through Lions. 9 percent of those tested referred to their GP as a result.

Testing now is carried out simply by a small sample of blood taken.

96 men attended a recent day of testing that ook place in Highworth.

4 of those were referred to a doctor. 6 males were found in urgent need to seek medical help.

Campaigners are attempting to get testing as autmatic as for women with annual tests. Signs are not usually obvious. The message is: men - get tested... put minds at rest or, when necessary, get early diagnosis and treatment.
