Tour De Thanks
Swindon Rotary Club Volunteers Thanked
TA 700-mile cycle ride by 4 cyclists from Edinburgh to London called at Swindon this month on their Thank You Tour, acknowledging groups across the country who have been supporting our communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. They stopped off at STEAM to meet, thank and present special Pin Badges to members of the Rotary Club of Swindon for their support of the Vaccination teams who have been donating their time and experiences to support the roll-out programme in the Swindon area.
Two of the riders, son Paul, and his father Tim rode tandem as Tim is blind and was keen to show how volunteering is inclusive. This is also the ethos of SWINDON 105.5, as Station Manager Shirley Ludford attended the event (as an E-Rotarian) and representative of the Radio Station where we encourage, involve and support volunteers of all ages and abilities.
