Everyone Has A Voice

Women's voices are powerful, and speaking up about abuse, whether privately or publicly, can be life-changing. When women, or men, share their experiences, they not only find strength in their own stories but also inspire others to break their silence.

Mandy Klapish has done just that. A SWINDON 105.5 Presenter who found strength to talk about her own experience on air, then went on to write a short book based around legal and court experiences.

Called “4th May: Reclaiming The Day” it is her story of assault by a professional Acupuncturist in whom total trust should have been respected.

Mandy launched her book on the 21st anniversary of the assault to a packed room at the Sun Inn, at Coate. She says “I want anyone who’s experienced assault to please talk out; and who needs to go to court to tell their story, to visit the court and understand what will happen, and have the confidence to reclaim their own lives”.

Station Manager, Shirley Ludford says: “Radio plays a crucial role in reaching wide audiences. A platform where survivors can feel heard and understood. Open conversations lead to change—whether through policy, education, or shifting societal attitudes. No one should suffer in silence, and every voice raised against abuse brings us one step closer to a safer, more just world.”
Mandy’s book is available through Amazon and Amazon Kindle. Here is the link:-
